More work-

A plant growing in water-

On the kitchen table today-

I have had a serious craving for oranges- so that was part of my lunch- the rest of it consisted of orange marmalade on bagel with cream cheese. I need my citrus. I have been drawing Greek letters. The letter 'l' in Greek is particularly striking. I was thinking of elementary school. We had to wear a blue dress with a round white collar. The question is :how to draw a white collar so that it's a shape, that is a little more than just a white collar, something that is both restrictive and expansive.

So here are two more from the works for the show. I am stretching . I am excited like that kid in first grade learning her letters. Art can do that to you. Of course I wonder if I will find people who will share my enthusiasm , but I am well into this process of discovery nevertheless. These ones are among the finished, but there are a few waiting in the studio to be worked on, and I think next week I will take you with me in the studio and share my process.

I am going from figurative to non-figurative and back, but the truth is the seeds for all of them are in my life experiences and how I process them.
This one begun in the studio downtown. The main shape was done in an accounting book (with wonderful paper) that I was using to draw in during a life drawing session.
I am off to bed. Too late. Can't think.
If you have more energy you could take a look at this photographer's work.
I was surfing and saw that her house has been posted on Design Sponge. But I haven't seen that yet. I will try to find that tomorrow. But here- take a look at her work-
Hugs from me-

I'm very reluctant to look at her work because I want to keep YOURS in my mind for longer! :) I don't think I have the words to express just how much I am in love with these pieces! They are so exquisite Annamaria. I love reading your thoughts and processes too. The white collar as 'icon' - how very apt that is ;) Thank you so much for showing these. You've made my day. Kxx
