Daily life and miniatures -

This is proving to be an invaluable exercise.
Of course most of them will end up in the bin-

Which is fine.

I have been working in the living room (our music room)-
loving the light here-

And the drama sometime.

And ,eventhough, I take care of the house,
                                                             walk Lucy to school,
and do all  the things I normally do,
in my head I feel like I am in some sort of  'silent retreat'-.
Or maybe it's always been like this-
                                                                and that is fine too-

Hugs,
Annamaria Potamiti

Indeed beautiful light there where you work and I see the same light/shadow play in your paintings too?
Glad you are enjoying your miniature painting exercise/journey. x

A Silent retreat sounds like just the thing. I think there is a certain freedom in knowing you can throw one in the bin if you want! Stops you from feeling that fear of brush strokes being too precious. Frees you up for anything.

And thank you for your thoughtful message, I will know you are reading and thinking of me once in a while.

I love these little gems your making as of late! and perhaps the silent retreat is a gift of the season or natural as the days get shorter :)
