A determined girl-

Girl in white dress- Gouache on watercolor paper- 5 x 7 inches

I do go around in the house with my camera attached to my body. Always looking out for sunlight spreading some magic.
And I used my photos to make the painting above. Something I thought I would never do but I have now discovered it can be of incredible benefit if I have plenty of additional material- like drawings and written observations about light etc. In essence the camera has become an extension of my sketchbook. Another tool to help me know and remember. The little determined ' girlie-farm-girl' was painted from not one image but from information I selected from  a series of photos I took a week ago when we visited a model farm.
And life right now is good. I am grateful.

And :
This here is sweet.
Hugs-

Your little girl makes me smile at her determination. I just spent an hour holding my little grand baby while her mommy cut my husbands hair. Little girls are just so special....as are little boys! xo
