How to make lemonade (visually)

I thought of lemonade because of the bitter-sweetness of the model and the pose. The model was a gentle, very sweet young woman but the shaved head spoke a different vocabulary...
Anyway, I was very intrigued and quite sympathetic since in my 'salad days' I was rather 'rebellious' and probably rather 'odd' but also fragile. Sweet but bitter.

lovely annamaria. your work has taken such an incredible turn and communicates a sense of introspection that is amazing. i love it. i think a lot of "rebels" are very fragile. i know i was. thanks for sharing.

I find her head very confronting too but am totally charmed by the way you've put the other icons/imagery in the background... as if to shed light on who she is? The overall effect is fabulous, Annamaria. I love that fragility you've imparted :) K

You have such a neat perspective on life and art. I love it!
I agree with Laura...I was a fragile rebel myself. xoxo

I know exactly what you mean! Growing up I was known as being the sweet, bubbly girl, and of course as a teen I wanted to shed this image. So I did a bunch of bizarre things to my appearance, haha. Love this piece :)
