Real fishbowl, cuddly dreams-

Fishbowl, gouache on watercolor paper, 6 x 6 inches

We have been wanting a dog for the longest time. And some of us (including the mom, but not 'the people' with a minimalist, masculine aesthetic ...), have been wanting chicken, and cats, and rabbits, and maybe pink pigs, and  white goats (am I stretching it here?), well a big happy home full of cuddly animals. Circumstances however... , have made us settle with Pongo and Dipsy in their glorious fishbowl. It wasn't love at first sight I am afraid, they kept taking snappy bites off each other when they were introduced... But they survived, and have since been loving, uncomplaining companions. A little bit quiet though, and not cuddly enough unfortunately...A girl can and WILL dream...

Hugs-

Boy I would love to have a big rabbit like that! Goats are really interesting creatures also, but I think a bit much for my postage stamp garden. I do like your fish...your painting is beautiful.

Hello: I know you from your lovely paintings on Etsy and just realized that I know you from comments on Arounna's blog too. :) Can I suggest gerbils? They are lovely, are happiest in pairs (same sex is best unless you want oodles of gerbils) and are very sociable. I wanted a dog so badly. We had fish first, gerbils next (I wanted warm-blooded creatures for my daughters to pet) and now we have a crazy, wonderful Wheaten terrier.
