Day 37- Painting is a slow art-

Day 37- Remembering Spring
watercolor 8,5 x 11 inches

I was aching to paint from memory. I was rewarded with a couple of small
lovely shapes in this. I have always found that for a painting like this to be attempted there
have to be zillions of previous drawings and paintings from observation.
Painting is a slow art.

Hugs-

Irina, thank you so much for your very kind words. I am trying to keep this going, even if some days I have not produced something adequately satisfying. It's a great learning process for me, and I am so glad it is offering you some joy as well;-)

Hi Annamaria,

I like this slightly abstracted, "flatter" painting from memory. It's rather reminiscent of your more truly abstracted paintings. (I'm loving your observational paintings, too!)

Thank you Gloria. I am always torn in the two directions. I thought I might nistead try to make them work for eachother...
