'I am just taking a walk', said Mr. Bear
acrylic on wood, 8 x 10 inches
I can't tell you how much I love this painting. And I loved making it: the layering, the drawing,
the forgiving nature of acrylics, and then, THEN, he started speaking to me, and I regained something
in my painting process that I thought was lost to me for good. The story. The blessed story because
its presence makes me bubble with joy inside. To top all that buzz, I used acrylic varnish, GLOSS, over this baby (after I took the photo), and that took the colors to a whole other level of scrumptiousness. You know me by now my sweets, so you pretty well know how I always moan and groan about not loving what I am making , about being restless and such, so when I say I am loving this and I loved doing it, I guess that's some big change!
I still want to get back into my yearly project, but with some twists there too. Very soon. And please forgive me for not having done any blog reading lately, I do miss you all, but between the bears and family life I got swamped. (and very soon I will tell you 'why' I started making bears in the first place!)
Big Hugs!!!

The bear is glorious, just look at the twinkle in its eyes.

I love the blue highlights on him and the dark, mysterious woods. Looking forward to hearing the story behind the story!
can't wait to hear this story! Bears have visited my work in the past...they are always welcome and yours is a treat to the eyes!
