Day 22- Portrait of a boy-
8 x 8 x 1 inches , oils on wooden panel
I realized this morning that even though I liked yesterday's version, I had to rework it to recover the likeness that the original drawing had. I am happy, I think it is still very lively and expressive.
(I think my natural inclination is to work very large. I work small for the sake of convenience, but can you see how my work is starting to spill out of it's boundaries? When I was in Florence at the O.C.A. off campus program,
I used to staple very large pieces of paper on the wall and draw almost life size.)
