Day 1-How to be like a tree

I sat on my desk today not knowing why on earth I gave myself this challenge. My brain was empty and I just sat there holding my hands, unable to draw anything. And that is what I drew. Just being.
Many hugs-

Ooo, now this is very interesting - I love it! You've painted an emotion... well, to me anyway. That landscape is so haunting and it definitely reminds me of somewhere I've been. The containment in your figure is a tension that grips me too. Sorry... I'm babbling ;) It really is such a strong piece Annamaria. You must be so proud of yourself... I would be if it'd come from my pen :) K

i agree with kylie! lovely. although i am very familiar with the sensation of sitting at my desk trying to draw and coming up blank. very scary. just like you, though, something does come through. and often it is very revealing. cheers-laura

i like the way the hands are and just the outline in the trees...

You're very brave to draw from your head - I usually don't because I don't want to know whats inside! Loving the colours again.

Oh I love your drawing. On our farm we are constantly talking about root systems being as important to the plant as what is above the ground. I love that you have drawn the girl's roots too. Have a great weekend.

this is an amazing piece, so emotional and atmospheric. I really like it. It is so interesting and I could keep looking at it for ages. I really like all the lines and texture.
