East Vancouver Culture Crawl

In the past year I have been very closely involved with the running of a life-drawing studio/gallery called Basic Inquiry. During the East Vancouver Culture Crawl our gallery hosted a group show of nine artists, in which I participated.

Rea came to see the show and cheer on!
A quiet moment was the perfect time to take a clear picture of 'my wall'...

Thank you to everyone who came by and was wonderfully supportive in many different ways.

Hugs-

Wow! That looks great! It's good to see the scale of your work - I didn't realise you did BIG!! Would love to see those two big ones close up.

Congratulations Annamaria! It looks wonderful. Love the new scale of work but also still very much in love with your smaller pieces. Did I tell you I've finally hung your two paintings? They are right here next to me at my desk - much loved and often contemplated when I should be doing work! ;) Take care... Kylie x

p.s. Just look at Elk's new look - gorgeous new photo, yes?

Thank you all dear friends- yes Kylie, I love Elk's new look- so gorgeous! As far as size of paintings does, I started my career with big paintings but I have found in the course of things, that I like the smaller sizes because they allow me to experiment more freely. There is a certain poetry to small artworks, its like writing small notes that one can hide or only share with very special people- they don't scream out loud, they whisper...
