My creative space

Well, you see I just had to...I had to get my hands on some crochet-something-or-other, because I couldn't take it anylonger, after watching all you being so crafty-creative! Because I am a beginner, I decided not to spend too much money buying yarn, until I know for sure I can do this, so I went to a church sale-unforunately, the nicest yard I could find in some numbers was white- fine, I like white. Then I thought I really don't know what I am doing , and I don't have the time to do anything elaborate, so I concluded that I should do a series of squares in 'found' -yarn and put an afgan together in the end. Well, we will see...But for the time being, I am loving it, only my fingers hurt...but that is my night-time activity!
In the day-time, I paint.
Wear very red-lipstick.
And have decided to put all my heart into the 'cheerfulness thing'...
There are many -many absolutely lovely creative spaces meeting at Kootoyoo, won't you play along?
Hugs-

How weird that you must be using finger muscles in a way that you wouldn't normally, making them sore. I'm sure they'll toughen up with more practise.

Laughed at the red lipstick.

Wow! You're crochet looks fantastic Annamaria! 10 million times better than my first effort. How do you get the sides to be straight like that? I thought my fingers were going to fall off when I first started but it does go away. Love the painting too. I like your cheerfulness plan. I try to do that too - look for the good in everything. Have a great day. K x

that is how my mom taught me to crochet when I was small - doing squares and circles in different stitches. Then we moved on to a ripple afghan thing that I never, ever finished, In fact I think it only measured 4 inches by single bed width by the time I decided I'd had enough. But I never forgot how to crochet! :)

Beautiful painting, lovely and soft. thank you for your comment - I laughed :)

I wish I could find my first squares..You definitely have a knack for crochet...Mine were a bit wonky to say the least...I like your idea of putting them all together too...Just hope those fingers don't give you too much trouble....Because I bet there is tons of crochet in your future :)

Oh yes, the painting is fantastic! your fingers might be sore with the crochet because of the yarn you are using - cotton often does this. It's looking beautiful.

The crochet looks great! I sometimes get so intense with my crochet that I only realize much later how sore my hands are. That's me. Intense. ;)

Beautiful painting, too.
