Day 7- Gazing at waves-

I am going to make it..It's eleven thirty but I have the drawing for you. Between Etsy-things-to-do, papers to organise, coffee with a dear friend, piles of laundry, going to the post office, cooking a hot! chilli con carne, having a friend of Lucy's over for a playdate and so forth..., I kept glancing at the New York Times but it wasn't doing me any favours, I had to go over it three of four times before I found what I was looking for.
On page C6 there is a small dance review, the photo is compelling and I admit I drew the figures in my sketchbook . But I couldn't do that in the final drawing , it would be like cheating-

The title of the review is 'He gazed, she gazed, and they danced'. From what I understand it is a dance of mirroring movements with the dancers intensly engaged with each other through focused gazing.

Then on page D3 :'In Deep Sea, Waves with a Familiar Curl'.
Again there are two fascinating images, of waves derived from thermal readings. The main idea is that this certain type of wave has been discovered in deep sea, and it mirrors
a type of wave that is 'present throughout nature'.
But what interested me here was a
process of discovery that involves very intense, commited, and focused 'gazing'.
And if in this 'dance' of uncovering and discovering universal laws, the world has been for thousands of years gazing inside, down, and up, through microscopes and through telelscopes ...who is gazing back?

Hugs-

I love all the little details. I really don't know how you do all you do. I always feel days or months behind. xo

Oh! I missed this yesterday. It's lovely! Love the "mirrored" pink lines/figures(?). Today's drawing is wonderful, too. Such an interesting project you have devised for yourself!
