sketchbook page

This is a small watercolor from an old sketchbook. After the figurative work for the show was completed
I went back to one of my favorite things. Painting watercolors by the seaside.

From inside my car, because it has been raining continuously...

I found this link-here- if you have a few minutes please do listen
to Chimamanda Adichie, a brilliant Nigerian novelist, speak about the 'danger of the single story'! Last
spring I became very conscious as to how 'my own single story, the one  that I had scripted
for myself'' was limiting me and I wanted out...Remember the installation? So when I heard her
thoughts I was moved and inspired!

Hugs -

Thanks for the link Annamaria, very inspiring indeed, nothing is only black or white, in between is a spectrum of the most beautiful colours and we need to remember that.

How wonderful that you can go and sit and paint at the seaside.
