Day 167- Still life on yellow table-

Day 167- Still life on yellow table
5,5 x 7,5 inches, mixed media on vintage paper

I am experimenting with mixing my acrylics, gouache and acrylic inks with
white house paint and pink block printing ink. I love the pink hue of the block printing ink but for some
mysterious reason it does not register with my scanner. What's that about, does anyone know?
I tried to adjust the colors on my screen but it's still too nasty in relation to the real thing. Or at least
I HOPE the real thing is kind of delicious....haha! Anyway, I think the block printing ink will go back to the cupboard, and maybe I will buy some pink house paint instead. The house paint is nice and creamy and kind of thick, it dries really fast which is not too cool but I can work around that.

Charming, lively painting.
I'm fascinated you are mixing the inks which are so flat with the acrylic paint. I think certain pastel hues are difficult for the scanner to pick up but from my computer the pinks do show and are lovely.

Experimenting is one of the joys of being a painter. May you find the perfect pink, Annamaria! xo Carole
